Accessibility:

  • The house is situated in the heart of the medieval village- we have to stress that whilst romantic, it cannot be accessed by any other way but stairs. We regret to inform anyone with challenges with mobility, that this house will not be suitable.

  • The parking is around 100 metres from the house- there are a variety of low cost and free parking options. There are also many electric bays very close to the house.

  • It takes around 5 minutes to walk from the parking to the house, up a number of stone steps to the house. The walk is quite steep in parts. If you need help with your bags, we will endeavour to help you with these.

  • The house is less than an hour's drive from Nice Airport, and 10 minutes drive from Ventimiglia station.

  • The nearest stone beach is in Ventimiglia, and the nearest sandy beach is 15 minutes away (Le Calandre). We thoroughly recommend this beautiful beach, one of the only sandy beaches along the Italian and French rivieras.

Food and Drink:

  • There are a number of local supermarkets in the village, all traditional with a small selection of products, fresh local fruit and vegetables, cheeses, wine and bread. For a bigger shop, there are a number of larger supermarkets 5 minutes away in Camporosso.

  • Dolceacqua has a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and pizzerias for every budget and taste. We are happy to recommend one and make bookings for you as you wish.

  • Dolceacqua is the home of Rossese wine, and you can taste this at many cantinas located around the house. You can buy the wine directly from the cellar doors from the local producers.
