Our Italian Story
In 2023, through a lot of hard work and a good amount of luck, we bought our dream home in the ancient village of Dolceacqua. Life was getting too fast, we were suffering from digital fatigue, and work was not providing enough purpose.
We wanted to find a place to slow down, enjoy the simple things of life, immerse ourselves in beauty, nature, and experience a place filled with tradition, culture and passion.​​​​
The house was owned by a wonderful 90 year old lady who calls the house 'the house of her dreams'. We were honoured to take over ownership of the house which is filled with her special memories. We have taken every step to respect the past whilst guarding it for future generations.
​Now, we share our home with likeminded humans from around the globe who want to experience slow tourism. We invite travellers to stay longer, to disconnect from life and connect more deeply with the local culture, and to travel in a way that is more mindful, sustainable, and enriching.​​
Its all about immersive travel. We encourage people to slow down, to have meaningful experiences, make genuine connections, and holiday at a more relaxed pace. This is not possible in a day. We encourage you to get to know the rhythms of the place, the local food, people, and nature. We invite you to go beneath the surface.

Dolceacqua is a picturesque medieval village located in the Ligurian region of Italy, near the French border. Despite being very accessible and close to a range of global 'must dos', Dolceacqua remains almost unchanged in the thousand years since its birth. The medieval town is filled with local artisans, winemakers selling the local and very special Rossesse wine, and rambling stone streets. Italians sit gently and chat amongst the ancient walls. The nature around the village is outstanding. Its a place to experience... take a deep breath and enjoy... slowly.
